Can You Grill Corn On A Contact Grill?
If you enjoy the taste of grilled corn on the outdoor grill, you may also be wondering if you can do the same thing on a contact grill like one from George Foreman? I was curious as well at one time and here is what I found out.
Using a George Foreman grill for corn is a bit tricky at best. Putting the corn on the grill and brushing it with oil is not difficult, but getting it to stay there is. It slides on the non-stick surface and is tough to keep in place.
The other problem is getting nice looking grill marks all along the individual pieces of corn due to them being all different sizes. If you do decide to give this a try yourself, set the timer for 5-6 minutes and turn the corn over halfway through.
Although it is possible to grill corn on a contact grill like this, it is much more difficult. The best advice is to use a true indoor grill or a contact grill that folds out into one. That will work much better.
